Basketball Recap: Midland Valley Comes Up Short

Midland Valley was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They lost to the Brookland-Cayce Bearcats at home by a 60-46 margin. The Mustangs were probably out for revenge after losing 50-48 to them when the teams met back in February of 2020, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Midland Valley's defeat dropped their record down to 6-3. As for Brookland-Cayce, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 3-1.

Midland Valley and Strom Thurmond will compete for holiday cheer at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Brookland-Cayce, they will be taking part in a tournament against Easley at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. Easley knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past eight games -- so hopefully Brookland-Cayce likes a good challenge.
