Soccer Recap: Grayslake North Comes Up Short

Grayslake North came into their game on Friday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They came up short against the Crystal Lake Central Tigers, falling 4-1. If Grayslake North were looking for revenge after losing 9-0 to Crystal Lake Central when the teams met back in May of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Grayslake North's defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 11-4-2. As for Crystal Lake Central, the victory was the eighth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 16-4-1.

Grayslake North does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Crystal Lake Central, they will head out on the road to square off against Deerfield at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Crystal Lake Central's defense better be ready for this one: Deerfield have averaged an impressive 2.5 goals per game this season.
