Lone Peak hadn't done well against American Fork recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Friday. The Lone Peak Knights snuck past the American Fork Cavemen with a 50-46 win. The victory was familiar territory for the Knights who have now won four matchups in a row.

Lone Peak's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Logan Brimhall, who posted nine points. Enoch Mitchell was another key player, putting up nine points.

When it comes to explaining why American Fork lost, don't look at Bryce Mella. Despite the final result, he went 6 of 9 en route to 17 points and six boards. The team also got some help courtesy of Carson Hackett, who went 5 for 7 on his way to 10 points.

Lone Peak pushed their record up to 13-7 with the win, which was their third straight at home. As for American Fork, they have been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-15 record this season.

Coming up, Lone Peak will take on Lehi at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Lone Peak is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 62.4 points per game this season. As for American Fork, they will square off against Westlake at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Westlake knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past three games -- so hopefully American Fork likes a good challenge.
