Highland extended their postseason success on Friday against East Chicago Central. They put the hurt on the Cardinals with a sharp 15-0 victory. The win was nothing new for the Trojans as they're now sitting on five straight.

Brian Baker looked comfortable as he struck out seven batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits (and only one walk). Those seven strikeouts gave him a new career-high.

On the hitting side, Highland got a big performance out of Kirk Dapshis, who got on base in all three of his plate appearances with one triple and two RBI. That's the most RBI Dapshis has posted since back in April. The team also got some help courtesy of Caden Quigg, who went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, two RBI, and one run.

Highland always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .533. They are a perfect 5-0 when they post an OBP of .513 or better.

Highland's victory bumped their record up to 16-13. As for East Chicago Central, their defeat dropped their record down to 12-14.

Looking ahead, Highland will square off against Hammond Bishop Noll at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. East Chicago Central does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
