Highlands Ranch was handed a nine-run defeat in their previous outing, but that didn't affect their clutch gene on Saturday. They had just enough and edged out the Poudre Impalas 7-6. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Falcons have posted since April 30, 2025.

Toby Dave got the start for Highlands Ranch and what a start it was: he pitched two innings while giving up just one earned run off one hit.

At the plate, Austin Benner was incredible, going 2-for-4 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Andrew Dibling, who went 3-for-4 with two runs, one stolen base, and one double.

The victory snapped Highlands Ranch's losing streak at three games and leaves them with a 2-6 record. As for Poudre, their record now sits at 3-3.

Coming up, Highlands Ranch will look to defend their home field on Monday against Bear Creek at 4:00 p.m. As for Poudre, they will welcome Greeley West at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
