Nathaniel Renner, Hesperia Christian's leader in stolen bases on the season, led the team again on Tuesday. Renner wasn't messing around, scoring a run and stealing two bases while going 1-for-3. The contest was his fourth straight with two or more stolen bases.

Renner's strong effort led Hesperia Christian over Big Bear and he'll get a chance to do so again: the teams have a rematch scheduled at 3:15 p.m. on Thursday. The Patriots are 6-1 against the Bears going back to April of 2022, a lead they'll look to extend.
