Baseball Recap: Obion County Takes a Loss

Thursday just wasn't the day for Obion County's offense. They lost 13-0 to the Westview Chargers on Thursday. The Rebels haven't had much luck with the Chargers recently, as the team has come up short the last seven times they've met.

Obion County's loss dropped their record down to 5-3. As for Westview, their victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 6-1.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Obion County will host Haywood at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. Obion County has given up an average of 8.1 runs per game this season, so hopefully the team got some pitching drills in this week. As for Westview, they will look to defend their home field on Friday against Hollow Rock-Bruceton Central at 6:30 p.m. Westview is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 10.3 runs per game this season.
