Volleyball Game Preview: Desert Mountain Wolves vs. Arizona College Prep Knights

The Desert Mountain Wolves will challenge the Arizona College Prep Knights at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Arizona College Prep took a loss in their last matchup and will be looking to turn the tables on Desert Mountain, who comes in off a win.

While Desert Mountain's win against Mountain Pointe wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Wolves skirted past the Pride 3-2. The Wolves haven't had any issues with the Pride recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive victory against them.

The match was a true back-and-forth as no team won consecutive sets, but in the end it was Desert Mountain who won the one that mattered. The final score came out to 25-13, 16-25, 25-21, 19-25, 15-11.

Desert Mountain can attribute much of their success to Mia Archibald, who had 16 digs. That's the most digs Archibald has posted since back in October of 2024.

Desert Mountain was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 12 aces. They are 6-1 when they serve at least ten aces.

Meanwhile, Arizona College Prep was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They were a single set away from ending the streak, but they lost a 1-0 heartbreaker at the hands of Campo Verde.

Desert Mountain's win bumped their record up to 12-22. As for Arizona College Prep, their defeat dropped their record down to 11-18-2.
