Soccer Recap: Central Davidson Picks Up Third Consecutive Victory

Central Davidson proved they can win big last Monday (they won by seven) and on Wednesday they proved they can win the close ones too. They won by a goal and slipped past the Providence Grove Patriots 2-1. The win was familiar territory for Central Davidson, who have now won three matchups in a row.

Lauren Weaver and Kendra Ogle scored both of Central Davidson's goals, bringing their combined season tally to 13 goals.

Central Davidson pushed their record up to 7-2-1 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 14 goals over those three games. As for Providence Grove, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 8-3.

Central Davidson didn't take long to hit the pitch again: they've already played their next contest, a 7-0 victory against Chatham Charter on the 20th. As for Providence Grove, they will head out on the road to face off against Trinity at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
