Basketball Recap: Johnsonville Takes a Loss

Johnsonville lost against Socastee back in January of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Flashes received a blow as they fell 72-53 to the Braves.

Kyler Wethington produced another solid effort shooting 64% from the field to rack up 32 points in addition to five assists and five boards for Socastee. The team also got some help courtesy of Chris Ryan, who posted 13 points.

Johnsonville's defeat dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Socastee, the victory got them back to even at 2-2.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Johnsonville won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Andrews at 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Socastee, they will venture away from home to square off against Berkeley at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
