The Wolfson Wolfpack are taking a road trip to take on the Beachside Barracudas at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the two teams posted some lofty run totals in their previous games.
While Wolfpack fans will have to keep waiting for their squad to come home, they shouldn't be too worried about the road trip considering the result of Tuesday's season opener. Everything went their way against Christ's Church Academy on Tuesday as Wolfson made off with a 17-1 victory.

Madison Saling and Addison Booher made a big impact while hitting and pitching. Throwing, Saling pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Meanwhile, Booher pitched one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. At bat, Saling went 2-for-3 with five RBI and two runs, while Booher scored two runs while going 1-for-3. The dominant performance gave Saling a new career-high in RBI.
In other batting news, Sarah Wisniewski was a standout: she scored three runs and stole a base while going 2-for-3. Another player making a difference was Emerson Mercer, who scored three runs and stole two bases while going 2-for-2.
Wolfson always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .536. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Christ's Church Academy only posted an OBP of .182.
Meanwhile, Beachside gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Tuesday. They blew past St. Augustine 16-1. The Barracudas haven't had any issues with the Yellow Jackets recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive win against them.
Vita Lagattolla made a splash no matter where she played. She struck out six batters over four innings while giving up just one earned run off one hit. Lagattolla was also solid in the batter's box, scoring two runs.
In other batting news, Beachside got a massive performance out of Kyleigh Kendall, who went 2-for-3 with one home run, four RBI, and two runs. Madden Lutze was another key player, getting on base in all four of her plate appearances with four RBI, two runs, and two doubles.
Wolfson might still be hurting after the 14-4 defeat they got from Beachside in their previous matchup back in March of 2023. Can Wolfson avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
