If Duncan was feeling good fresh off their 64-32 takedown of Superior last Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Duncan Wildkats lost 59-38 to the Valley Lutheran Flames on Friday. The Wildkats' defeat signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Valley Lutheran's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but John McLaughlin led the charge by dropping a double-double on 20 points and ten boards. The dominant performance gave McLaughlin a new career-high in points. The team also got some help courtesy of Luke Henley, who posted 11 points in addition to six rebounds and six steals.

Duncan's loss dropped their record down to 5-10. As for Valley Lutheran, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 10-2.

Duncan will be playing in front of their home fans against Fort Thomas at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Fort Thomas will roll in looking for their fifth straight win, something Duncan surely won't give up without a fight. As for Valley Lutheran, they are taking a road trip to take on Hayden at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Hayden has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
