            For the second straight game, Grosse Pointe North will face off against St. Clair. The Norsemen will challenge the Saints at 4:30  p.m.  on Thursday.
Grosse Pointe North took a six-run  loss the last time they faced off against St. Clair, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Norsemen came out on top in a nail-biter against the Saints on Wednesday, sneaking past  4-2. The  win was a breath of fresh air for the Norsemen as it put an end to their five-game losing streak.
 Brandon Keyes spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered only one earned  (and one unearned) run on five hits and racked up six Ks. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't  given up  more than two  walks in four consecutive appearances.
 On the hitting side, Grosse Pointe North's victory was truly a team effort as three different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was  Jacob Jarackas, who  went 1-for-2 with one  run.
 St. Clair has  traveled a rocky road recently, having  lost six of their last eight games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-8 record  this season. As for Grosse Pointe North, their win bumped their record up to 4-19-1.
