Volleyball Game Preview: South Fork Bulldogs vs. Legacy Lions

The South Fork Bulldogs will face off against the Legacy Lions at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as South Fork comes in on three and Legacy on seven.

South Fork is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Monday. They put the hurt on Port St. Lucie with a sharp 3-0 victory.

The 3-0 score doesn't show just how dominant South Fork was: they took every set by at least 17 points. The final score came out to 25-6, 25-8, 25-7.

Meanwhile, Legacy made easy work of Sebastian River on Monday and carried off a 3-0 win.

Legacy was especially dominant in the first set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-11, 25-19, 25-19.

South Fork better focus on containing Kherington Neikirk and Paisley Woods as the pair were huge in Legacy's win. Neikirk had eight digs and six aces, while Woods had 11 digs and seven assists. Those seven assists gave Woods a new career-high.

Legacy was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 12 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least seven aces in seven consecutive matches.

South Fork's victory bumped their record up to 20-6. As for Legacy, their win bumped their record up to 19-7.

South Fork came out on top in a nail-biter against Legacy in their previous meeting back in September, sneaking past 3-2. One of the biggest obstacles the team faced in that game was Woods, who had 24 digs and three aces.
