Volleyball Recap: Eau Claire North Comes Up Short

Eau Claire North had taken New Richmond down for three straight games at home, but that winning streak came to an end on Thursday. The Huskies fell 3-1 to the Tigers. The Huskies were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Tigers apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in October of 2024.

The match finished with set scores of 25-20, 24-26, 25-22, 25-10.

Josie Larson paced Eau Claire North's offense, picking up nine kills. Larson got some help from Kendall Vance and her 15 assists. Toni Woodruff controlled things from the service line, finishing with two aces.

Eau Claire North has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 8-12 record this season. As for New Richmond, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 13-4.

Looking ahead, Eau Claire North will square off against Prescott at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for New Richmond, they will be taking part in a tournament against Bloomer at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday.
