Baseball Recap: South Anchorage Wolverines vs. West Valley Wolf Pack
South Anchorage had to kick off their season on the road on Wednesday, but they showed no ill effects. They blew past the West Valley Wolf Pack 12-2.

David Feigner looked comfortable as he struck out nine batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits (and not a single walk). Those nine strikeouts gave him a new career-high.
On the hitting side, Landon Gasser and Logan Geuss did most of the damage at the plate: Gasser went 1-for-3 with one home run, four RBI, and two runs, while Geuss scored two runs and stole two bases while getting on base in four of his five plate appearances. The team also got some help courtesy of Caleb Bonin, who got on base in all five of his plate appearances with one RBI.
Looking ahead, South Anchorage is taking a road trip to face off against Colony at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for West Valley, they will take on Wasilla in a tournament on Thursday.
