Timberlake is preparing for their first conference matchup of the season on Friday. They will be playing in front of their home fans against the Bonners Ferry Badgers at 3:00 p.m. One thing working in Timberlake's favor is that they have posted at least ten runs in their last six matchups.
On Wednesday, Timberlake made easy work of Riverside and carried off a 19-6 victory. The Tigers might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won seven contests by nine runs or more this season.
Eric Wylie was a major factor no matter where he played. He pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than one walk in five consecutive appearances. He was also stellar in the batter's box, getting on base in four of his five plate appearances with three RBI, two runs, and one stolen base.

In other batting news, Timberlake got a massive performance out of Dane Perkl, who went 3-for-5 with four RBI, two runs, and one double. Those four RBI gave Perkl a new career-high. James Moore was another key player, getting on base in three of his five plate appearances with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI.
Timberlake always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .590. That was just more of the same: they've now posted an OBP of .500 or higher in six consecutive games.
Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Bonners Ferry, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Tuesday. They put the hurt on Kellogg with a sharp 12-2 win on Thursday. The victory was a breath of fresh air for the Badgers as it put an end to their three-game losing streak.
Timberlake is on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-2 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 15.6 runs over those games. As for Bonners Ferry, they pushed their record up to 5-9 with the victory, which was their fourth straight at home.
Everything went Timberlake's way against Bonners Ferry in their previous matchup back in May of 2024, as Timberlake made off with a 14-2 win. Do the Tigers have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Badgers turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
