Soccer Recap: Corona del Mar Comes Up Short

Corona del Mar lost against Los Alamitos back in January of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The Corona del Mar Sea Kings fell just short of the Los Alamitos Griffins by a score of 3-2. That's two games in a row now that the Sea Kings have lost by just one goal.

Corona del Mar dropped their record down to 2-7 with the defeat, which was their third straight at home. As for Los Alamitos, their victory was their first in the league, bumping their league record up to 1-2 and their overall record up to 2-6-4.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Corona del Mar will venture away from home to challenge Huntington Beach at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. Corona del Mar's last three matches have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one. As for Los Alamitos, they will head out on the road to square off against Marina at 3:00 p.m. on Friday.
