Basketball Recap: Yelm Starts Season with Defeat on the Road + How To Watch

Yelm kicked off their season on the road on Saturday and hit a couple of potholes. They took a 57-47 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Stadium Tigers. Sadly, the loss continues a streak the team started last season, making it 19 in a row.

Stadium was led to victory by Judah Noonan and Isaiah Phok-Abay. Noonan went 7-for-11 on his way to 20 points, while Phok-Abay dropped a double-double with 17 points and ten boards. Another player making a difference was Jalen Northcott, who posted four points and three steals.

Yelm and Stadium will both get their first taste of in-conference action in their upcoming games. The Tornados will square off against rival Bonney Lake at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Meanwhile, Stadium is set to face off against their familiar foe White River at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
