Basketball Recap: Topsail Now 12-2 over Last 14 Games

With a playoff win on the line, Topsail rose to the challenge on Tuesday. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past the Willow Spring Storm 53-50.

Topsail got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Ryan Lambert out in front who went 7-for-16 on her way to 15 points and four steals. Lambert has been hot for a while, having posted two or more steals the last 16 times she's played. Jaelyn Dabideen was another key player, putting up nine points.

Topsail smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 16 offensive boards. They are 18-3 when they hit their own glass that hard.

Topsail is on a roll lately: they've won 12 of their last 14 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 20-7 record this season. This is the second loss in a row for Willow Spring and nudges their season record down to 14-12.

Coming up, Topsail is taking a road trip to take on Richmond at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Richmond will roll in looking for their 12th straight victory, something Topsail surely won't give up without a fight. Willow Spring does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
