Soccer Game Preview: Hebron Christian vs. Whitefield Academy

The Hebron Christian Lions will take on the Whitefield Academy WolfPack at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Hebron Christian comes in on eight and Whitefield Academy on five.

Hebron Christian's defense heads into the match hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Friday. They blew past Franklin County 7-0. Hebron Christian might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won five contests by three goals or more this season.

Their offense was hitting Franklin County from everywhere, as five different players booted in a goal. Samuel Carlson led that balanced group of strikers and accounted for two goals all by himself.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Whitefield Academy). They put the hurt on Fellowship Christian with a sharp 7-0 win last Thursday. Give the WolfPack's defense some credit: that's the team's third straight shutout.

Hebron Christian's victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 8-0. The wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only given up zero goals over those three games. As for Whitefield Academy, their win bumped their record up to 6-1.
