Jansley Page made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and scored a run while going 2-for-3. What's more, she posted two RBI, the most she's had since back in March of 2024. Another player making a difference was Chloe Straughn, who scored a run while going 2-for-3.
Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Southwest Onslow, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Friday. They never let Northside - Jacksonville get on the board and left with a 15-0 victory on Thursday. The win continues a trend for the Stallions in their matchups with the Monarchs: they've now won seven in a row.
Whitney Grissett made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She tossed three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than two walks any time she's pitched this season. She was also stellar in the batter's box, scoring three runs and stealing a base while going 1-for-2.
In other batting news, Lilian Paradysz and Grace Randolph did most of the damage at the plate: Paradysz scored two runs while going 1-for-2, while Randolph scored three runs while getting on base in all three of her plate appearances. Haylie Anderson was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing a base while getting on base in two of her three plate appearances.
Wallace-Rose Hill's loss dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Southwest Onslow, their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-2.
Both the two teams just can't seem to miss. Wallace-Rose Hill has been making plenty of contact this season, having averaged 8.8 hits per game. However, it's not like Southwest Onslow struggles in that department as they've been averaging only 5.3 hits. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Wallace-Rose Hill beat Southwest Onslow 4-1 in their previous meeting back in April of 2024. Will Wallace-Rose Hill repeat their success, or does Southwest Onslow have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
