Baseball Recap: Brooks DeBartolo Collegiate Comes Up Short

Brooks DeBartolo Collegiate was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their ninth straight defeat. They lost 14-1 to the Berkeley Prep Buccaneers. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Buccaneers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 12-0 back in March.

Brooks DeBartolo Collegiate's loss dropped their record down to 1-22. As for Berkeley Prep, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 18-7.

The two teams are set to take part in some playoff action in their next matches. Brooks DeBartolo Collegiate will challenge Bishop McLaughlin Catholic at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Berkeley Prep, they will be playing in front of their home fans against River Ridge at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. The Royal Knights will roll in looking for their fifth straight victory, something the Buccaneers surely won't give up without a fight.
