Recap: Hillsborough Terriers vs. Freedom Patriots
The Hillsborough Terriers can now show off nine landslide victories after their most recent match on Wednesday. They claimed a resounding 73-22 victory over Freedom at home. With Hillsborough ahead 48-14 at the half, the matchup was all but over already.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Hillsborough to victory, but perhaps none more so than Jojo Cruz-Smartt, who scored 18 points. Ellayna Stephens was another key contributor, scoring 16 points.
Hillsborough has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matchups, which provided a massive bump to their 9-6 record this season. As for Freedom, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-14.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Hillsborough will take on Plant City at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Plant City will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Florida Rankings (they are ranked 593rd, while Hillsborough is ranked 215th). As for Freedom, Freedom and Riverview will face off at 6:30 p.m. on January 19th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday.
