Softball Recap: McClain Comes Up Short

Wednesday just wasn't the day for McClain's offense. They came up short against the Hillsboro Indians on Wednesday, falling 10-0. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Indians this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 16-0 on Monday.

McClain saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Sarah Easter, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base.

This is the second loss in a row for McClain and nudges their season record down to 6-10. As for Hillsboro, the victory (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 16-3.

McClain wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next contest, a 3-2 defeat against Piketon on the 1st. Hillsboro has also already played their next game (against Clinton-Massie), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
