Baseball Game Preview: Southeast Warren Warhawks vs. East Union Eagles

Southeast Warren has gone 9-1 against East Union recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Monday. The Warhawks will host the Eagles at 6:00 p.m. Southeast Warren's pitching crew has only allowed 3.5 runs per game this season, so East Union's hitters will have their work cut out for them.

On Friday, Southeast Warren made easy work of Nodaway Valley and carried off a 13-2 win. The Warhawks have beaten the Wolverines the last three times they've met, but they better watch out: this was the closest the Wolverines has come to flipping the script.

Meanwhile, Friday just wasn't the day for East Union's offense. They came up short against Martensdale-St. Mary's on Friday, falling 15-0. The Eagles have struggled against the Blue Devils recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive lost meeting.

Southeast Warren pushed their record up to 7-5 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road. The road wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.7 runs on average over those games. As for East Union, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-6.
