Recap: Oxford Chargers vs. Creekside Seminoles
The Oxford Chargers's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Saturday after their third straight loss. They were outmatched by Creekside on the road and fell 77-33. Oxford was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 41-13.
Creekside found their leader in underclassman C'India Dennis , who scored 33 points along with seven steals and five assists. That makes it six consecutive games in which Dennis has scored at least 25% of Creekside's points. Skye Cleveland was another key contributor, scoring 17 points.
Oxford's defeat dropped their record down to 5-10. As for Creekside, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 4-2.
Oxford will be staying on the road on Tuesday to face off against Calhoun City at 6:00 p.m. on December 19th. The timing is sure in Calhoun City's favor as the team sits on four straight wins at home while Oxford has been banged up by three consecutive losses on the road. Creekside will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Greenforest at 3:00 p.m. on December 28th. Greenforest will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Georgia Rankings (they are ranked 200th, while Creekside is ranked 99th).
