Baseball Game Preview: Two Rivers Purple Raiders vs. Brillion Lions

The Two Rivers Purple Raiders will face off against the Brillion Lions at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The last three games Two Rivers has played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.

Two Rivers is headed into the match having just posted their closest win since May 10, 2024 on Saturday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 7-6 victory over Manitowoc Lutheran. The Purple Raiders' hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.

Meanwhile, Brillion was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat dating back to last season. They came up short against Chilton, falling 8-2. That's two games in a row now that the Lions have lost by exactly six runs.

Brillion saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Joe Shimek, who scored a run and stole a base while going 3-for-4.

Brillion's loss dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Two Rivers, their win (their first of the season) made their record 1-3.

Two Rivers couldn't quite get it done against Brillion in their previous meeting back in April of 2024 as they fell 4-1. Can the Purple Raiders avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
