Mahomet-Seymour came tearing into Thursday's contest with four straight wins , and they left with even more momentum. They walked away with a 2-0 victory over the Mattoon Greenwave. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 2-0 back in September.

Mahomet-Seymour easily took the first set, but they let things get interesting in the other. The final score came out to 25-13, 25-21.

Mahomet-Seymour's win bumped their record up to 18-2. As for Mattoon, their loss dropped their record down to 11-14.

Mahomet-Seymour wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 2-0 victory against Champaign Central on the 4th. As for Mattoon, they have also already played their next matchup, a 2-1 win against Armstrong on the 4th.
