Broughton barely beat Athens Drive the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Capitals blew past the Jaguars 13-5 on Wednesday. Considering the Capitals have won eight games by more than five  runs this season, Wednesday's  blowout was nothing new.
 Bailey Bishop was a standout: she went 2-for-4 with one  home run, one  stolen base,  and two  RBI. She is  on a roll when it comes to  stolen bases, as she's  now  snagged  at least one in each of the last three games she's  played. The team also got some help courtesy of  Avery Troxell, who  went 3-for-5 with two  runs, one  stolen base,  and two  RBI.
 They weren't the only ones making solid contact: Broughton  kept the outfield on their toes and  finished the game with 17  hits. They are 7-1 when  they post 11 or more  hits.
The  victory made it two in a row for Broughton and  bumps their season record up to 10-8. The  wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 6  runs in those games. As for Athens Drive, they have  traveled a rocky road recently, having  lost 12 of their last 14 contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-16 record  this season.
As of now, neither Broughton nor Athens Drive have any future games scheduled.
