Recap: Hemingway Tigers vs. East Clarendon Wolverines
This season hasn't been kind to the Hemingway Tigers, who are still winless after their tenth matchup. They were outmatched by East Clarendon on the road and fell 67-13. While losing is never fun, Hemingway can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' South Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked 266th, while East Clarendon is ranked 112th).
Courtney McFadden had an outrageously good game for East Clarendon as she scored three points along with 34 steals. Hayden White was another key contributor, scoring 17 points along with five rebounds and two steals.
Hemingway's loss was their ninth straight on the road, which bumped their record down to 0-10. As for East Clarendon, the victory makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 12-3.
Hemingway will look to defend their home court on Friday against Carvers Bay at 6:30 p.m. Hopefully Carvers Bay focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 27 on Tuesday. As for East Clarendon, they will head out on the road to challenge Johnsonville at 6:15 p.m. on Friday. Johnsonville comes in still looking for their first win of the season.
