Baseball Recap: Roane County Takes a Loss

Wednesday just wasn't the day for Roane County's offense. They might be feeling deja-vu: they lost 1-0 to the McMinn Central Chargers, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior. The Yellowjackets have struggled against the Chargers recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive lost meeting.

Roane County's loss dropped their record down to 13-6-1. As for McMinn Central, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 14-8.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Roane County will challenge Oliver Springs at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Bobcats will roll in looking for their eighth straight win, something the Yellowjackets surely won't give up without a fight. As for McMinn Central, they will face off against Red Bank at 6:30 p.m. on Friday.
