Baseball Recap: Schaumburg Takes Down Zion-Benton in a Playoff Battle

Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Schaumburg walked away with it. They walked away with a 3-0 victory over the Zion-Benton Zee-Bees on Monday.

Schaumburg's win ended a six-game drought at home and bumped them up to 10-24. As for Zion-Benton, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 8-21 record this season.

Schaumburg will head out to challenge Fremd at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The Saxons are facing the Vikings at the right time seeing as the Vikings are stuck on a three-game losing streak. Zion-Benton does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
