Volleyball Recap: Rice Comes Up Short

Rice was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They lost 3-0 to the Grandview Zebras. If the Bulldogs were looking for revenge after losing 3-0 to the Zebras when the teams met back in October of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

The match finished with set scores of 25-9, 25-14, 25-10.

Rice's loss dropped their record down to 10-13. As for Grandview, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 19-9 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Rice is set to face off against their familiar foe Maypearl at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Grandview will challenge rival Palmer at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
