Baseball Game Preview: Franklin Admirals vs. Hendersonville Commandos

The Franklin Admirals will venture away from home to challenge the Hendersonville Commandos at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Franklin will be strutting in after a win while Hendersonville will be coming in after a loss.

Franklin will bounce into Monday's contest after beating Nolensville, who they had gone 2-7 against in their nine prior meetings. The Admirals came out on top against the Knights by a score of 4-0 on Wednesday. Surprisingly, this marked the Admirals' third straight game in which the away team has come away the victor.

Not much got past Davis Williams, who gave up just a hit to keep Nolensville off the board. Williams also tossed no walks, which is notable because Franklin is undefeated when he allows at most two walks, but 6-20 otherwise.

On the hitting side, Henry Hammet was excellent, going 1-for-2 with two runs and one stolen base. That's the most runs he has posted since back in March. Jaylen Spring was another key player, going 1-for-2 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.

Meanwhile, Hendersonville came up short against White House-Heritage on Thursday and fell 5-2.

Houston Bogle made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with two runs and one stolen base.

The victory snapped Franklin's losing streak at four games and leaves them with a 9-20 record. As for Hendersonville, their defeat dropped their record down to 20-11.
