Basketball Recap: Sparrows Point Takes a Loss

Sparrows Point lost against Catonsville back in January of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Sparrows Point Pointers took a 41-22 bruising from the Catonsville Comets. The game marked the Pointers' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Sparrows Point dropped their record down to 3-5 with the loss, which was their fourth straight at home. As for Catonsville, their victory ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 5-8.

Sparrows Point will take on New Town at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. New Town will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something Sparrows Point surely won't give up without a fight. As for Catonsville, they will square off against Overlea at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Catonsville is facing Overlea at the right time seeing as Overlea is stuck on a seven-game losing streak.
