Oblong is 9-1 against Martinsville since September of 2021 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Thursday. The Panthers will host the Bluestreaks at 6:00 p.m. Oblong will be looking to extend their current ten-game winning streak.

On Tuesday, Oblong beat Brownstown/St. Elmo 2-0.

Oblong not only won, but also showed off some consistency: they kept Brownstown/St. Elmo between 18 and 20 points across their sets. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-20, 25-18.

Meanwhile, Martinsville was able to grind out a solid victory over Red Hill on Tuesday, taking the game 2-0. The Bluestreaks haven't had any issues with the Salukis recently, as the game was their third consecutive win against them.

The 2-0 score doesn't show just how dominant Martinsville was: they took both sets by at least 11 points. The final score came out to 25-11, 25-14.

Oblong's victory bumped their record up to 19-5. As for Martinsville, their win bumped their record up to 13-10.
