Austin lost to Mae Jemison back in December of 2024, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Saturday. The Austin Black Bears rang in the new year with a 60-49 win over the Mae Jemison Jaguars. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Black Bears.

Austin's victory bumped their record up to 5-14. As for Mae Jemison, they dropped their record down to 10-11 with the defeat, which was their fifth straight on the road.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Austin will square off against Florence at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Mae Jemison, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Hazel Green at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
