Baseball Game Preview: Glenn Bobcats vs. Parkland Mustangs

Glenn is 7-0-1 against Parkland since April of 2021 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Friday. The Bobcats will welcome the Mustangs at 6:00 p.m.

Glenn is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. They blew past Parkland 19-1 on Tuesday. The Bobcats haven't had any issues with the Mustangs recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive win against them.

Tyler Goodin spent all four innings played on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered a run (which was unearned) on three hits and racked up ten Ks. Glenn is 3-1 when Goodin posts eight or more strikeouts, but 6-9 otherwise.

At the plate, Glenn got a massive performance out of Isaiah Turley, who scored two runs while going 2-for-3. Those two hits gave Turley a new career-high. Gabe Eller was another key player, scoring two runs while going 3-for-3.

Turley wasn't the only one making solid contact: Glenn kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 18 hits. The Bobcats are a perfect 3-0 when they post 11 or more hits.

Parkland dropped their record down to 1-19 with the loss, which was their 16th straight at home dating back to last season. As for Glenn, their victory bumped their record up to 9-10.

Parkland's hitters will have their work cut out for them on Friday. Glenn has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 7.6 strikeouts per game.
