Soccer Game Preview: New Caney vs. Conroe

New Caney hasn't had much luck against Conroe recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The New Caney Eagles will head out on the road to face off against the Conroe Tigers at 7:30 p.m.

New Caney is headed into Tuesday's matchup looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their sixth straight game on Monday. They came up short against College Park, falling 7-0. While losing is never fun, the Eagles can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas soccer rankings (they are ranked 658th, while the Cavaliers are ranked 90th).

Meanwhile, Conroe entered their tilt with College Park on Thursday with four consecutive wins , and they'll enter their next game with five. They walked away with a 3-1 victory over the Cavaliers. Three seems to be a good number for the Tigers as the squad scooped up a win with the same number of goals in their previous game.

Conroe pushed their record up to 11-3 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road. The wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only given up one goal over those three games. As for New Caney, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-8.

New Caney might still be hurting after the 4-1 loss they got from Conroe when the teams last played back in January. Can New Caney avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
