Basketball Recap: St. John's Prep's Losing Streak Is a Thing of the Past

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask St. John's Prep). They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 65-63 victory over Hope Academy on Tuesday. The win was some much needed relief for the Johnnies as it spelled an end to their 11-game losing streak dating back to last season.

St. John's Prep's first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-8. As for Hope Academy, their loss was their fourth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 3-8.

St. John's Prep has already played their next contest (against Swanville), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Hope Academy will take on United Christian Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. United Christian Academy will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something Hope Academy surely won't give up without a fight.
