Baseball Recap: Miller Takes a Loss

Miller was the 7-5 winner over Alice when they last played one another back in March of 2017, but their luck changed this time around. The Miller Buccaneers took a 9-6 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Alice Coyotes on Monday.

Romeo Castillo made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-4 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one double. He is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last three games he's played.

Miller's loss dropped their record down to 3-7. As for Alice, their victory was their first in the district, bumping their district record up to 1-2 and their overall record up to 6-7.

Looking ahead, Miller will head out on the road to face off against Flour Bluff at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday. The last four games Flour Bluff has played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one. As for Alice, they will look to defend their home field on Wednesday against Ray at 7:00 p.m.
