Basketball Game Preview: St. Vincent de Paul Mustangs vs. Healdsburg Greyhounds

St. Vincent de Paul is 0-9 against Healdsburg since December of 2015 but things could change on Tuesday. The St. Vincent de Paul Mustangs will head out on the road to face off against the Healdsburg Greyhounds at 7:30 p.m. Both come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

St. Vincent de Paul took a loss when they played away from home on Tuesday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Thursday. They put the hurt on Elsie Allen with a sharp 48-24 victory. The Mustangs have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won nine contests by 20 points or more this season.

Meanwhile, Healdsburg had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 28.5 points) and they went ahead and made it three on Saturday. They walked away with a 38-30 win over the Dragons.

Healdsburg pushed their record up to 13-5 with the victory, which was their third straight at home. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 52.3 points per game. As for St. Vincent de Paul, their win bumped their record up to 10-8.

St. Vincent de Paul was taken down by Healdsburg 59-19 when the teams last played back in February of 2024. That matchup was all but decided by halftime, at which point St. Vincent de Paul was down 32-8.
