Softball Recap: Pender Has No Trouble Against Lakewood

On Thursday, the Pender Patriots made easy work of the Lakewood Leopards and carried off a 13-1 victory. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Patriots.

The team relied heavily on Katie Iddings, who scored a run while going 1-for-2. Another player making a difference was Haley Gantt, who scored two runs while going 2-for-2.

Pender's win bumped their record up to 2-0. As for Lakewood, they dropped their record down to 0-2 with the loss, which was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season.

Looking ahead, Pender will take on James Kenan at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Lakewood, they will face off against Lejeune at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
