BASIS - Mesa skates past Academy with Community Partners with ease

Recap: BASIS - Mesa vs. Academy with Community Partners Lions

BASIS - Mesa have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won four matches by 26 points or more this season. Couldn't have asked for a better start to 2024 than the 56-21 blowout they got at home against Academy with Community Partners. With that victory, BASIS - Mesa brought their scoring average up to 50.2 points per game.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead BASIS - Mesa to victory, but perhaps none more so than Joseph Frivaldo, who scored 18 points along with three steals. Frivaldo is absolutely dominating the steal category: he's posted at least two every time he's taken the court this season. Another player making a difference was Matteo Huish, who scored ten points along with seven assists.

BASIS - Mesa has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 5-3 record this season. As for Academy with Community Partners, they now have a losing record at 1-2.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. BASIS - Mesa will face off against Phoenix School of Academic Excellence at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Academy with Community Partners is on the road again on Tuesday and play against 91st Psalm Christian School at 6:30 p.m. on January 9th. 91st Psalm Christian School has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
