Baseball Recap: Friday's Victory Is Bogue Chitto's Fifth in Last Six Outings

It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Bogue Chitto had no problem doing just that on Friday. They came out on top against the Raleigh Lions by a score of 10-7. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 9-5 on Thursday.

Bogue Chitto let Landon Wright and Noah Magee run wild. Wright went 1-for-2 with five RBI, one triple, and one run, while Magee went 1-for-4 with three runs, one triple, and one stolen base. Those five RBI gave Wright a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Manny Conerly, who went 2-for-3 with two runs and one stolen base.

Bogue Chitto has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 13-10 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 12.8 runs over those games. As for Raleigh, their defeat was their fourth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 8-17.

As of now, neither Bogue Chitto nor the Lions have any future games scheduled.
