Baseball Recap: Eastlake Continues Home Dominance on Monday

There's no place like home for Eastlake, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Friday. They never let the Patrick Henry Patriots get on the board and left with a 2-0 win on Monday.

The result came thanks to Nick Romero's shutout, as he gave up just four hits and racked up six Ks. What's more, he gave up only zero earned runs, the fewest he's had since back in April of 2024.

On the hitting side, Eastlake saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Joel Vargas, who scored a run while going 1-for-2. Austin Stroberg also deserves some recognition as he hit his first double of the season.
