Basketball Recap: Galt Falls Despite Big Games from Anthony Rose-Garcia and Carson Cagle

Galt was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 18th straight loss. They came up short against the Union Mine Diamondbacks, falling 82-57. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Diamondbacks this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 84-50 back in January.

Carson Cagle and Anthony Rose-Garcia certainly did their best on Tuesday to avoid the loss. Cagle went 9 of 15 on his way to 20 points, while Rose-Garcia went 5 for 9 en route to 16 points. Those 20 points gave Cagle a new career-high.

Galt's defeat dropped their record down to 1-26. As for Union Mine, they are on a roll lately: they've won 12 of their last 13 games, which provided a massive bump to their 14-13 record this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Galt will take on Liberty Ranch at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Union Mine, they will face off against El Dorado at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
