Meanwhile, it was a proper cat-fight when Houghton Lake took on Evart on Tuesday. The Bobcats came up short against the Wildcats, falling 16-4. The Bobcats haven't had much luck with the Wildcats recently, as the team has come up short the last six times they've met.

Houghton Lake's loss dropped their record down to 4-11. As for Beal City, their win bumped their record up to 9-6.

Everything went Beal City's way against Houghton Lake when the teams last played back in May of 2024, as Beal City made off with a 16-1 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Aggies since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
