Soccer Recap: Southern Wayne Takes a Loss

Southern Wayne had taken Eastern Wayne down for three straight games at home, but that winning streak came to an end on Wednesday. The Southern Wayne Saints fell 3-1 to the Eastern Wayne Warriors. Things got a bit chippy out on the turf as both teams were handed red cards: the Saints' Lismari Sanchez and the Warriors' Jessalyn Vicente.

Southern Wayne's goal came courtesy of Aracely Perez-Barrera, which was the first she's scored this season.

This is the second loss in a row for Southern Wayne and nudges their season record down to 0-2-5. As for Eastern Wayne, the win keeps them at an undefeated 6-0-1.

Southern Wayne has already played their next match, a 9-0 loss against West Johnston on the 14th. As for Eastern Wayne, they also didn't take long to hit the pitch again: they've already played their next game, an 8-0 victory against American Leadership Academy-Johnston on the 13th.
